What is Ularitide?

Urodilatin is a renal natriuretic peptide derived from the proANP precursor and studied as an IV heart-failure therapy. It produces strong natriuresis and vasodilation with a relatively rapid onset.

Key Benefits & Mechanisms

natriuresis

diuresis

blood-pressure reduction

renal tubular sodium excretion

Research Summary

Ularitide has been evaluated in acute heart failure and cardiorenal syndrome programs. Clinical studies showed clear biomarker and hemodynamic effects, but definitive outcome advantages have been difficult to prove.
