What is FOXO4-DRI?
FOXO4-DRI is a cell-penetrating senolytic peptide that selectively targets and eliminates senescent (zombie) cells. It works by disrupting the interaction between FOXO4 and p53, causing senescent cells to undergo apoptosis while leaving healthy cells unaffected. A breakthrough in aging research.
Key Benefits & Mechanisms
Selective senescent cell elimination
Rejuvenation of aged tissues
Improved physical performance in aged models
Restoration of fur density and kidney function (animal studies)
Targeted senolytic action
Does not harm healthy cells
Potential anti-aging breakthrough
Research Summary
FOXO4-DRI made headlines from the 2017 Erasmus University study showing dramatic rejuvenation in aged mice. Senescent cells cleared from kidneys, liver, and skin. While animal data is remarkable, human clinical trials have not yet been conducted. One of the most exciting longevity research peptides.
Related Peptides
Epithalon
Epitalon / Epithalamin Tetrapeptide
Epithalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide that activates telomerase, the enzyme responsible for maintaining telomere length. Originally developed by Russian scientist Vladimir Khavinson, it is studied for anti-aging and longevity applications.
LongevityGHK-Cu
Copper Peptide (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine-Copper)
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide found in human plasma, saliva, and urine. It declines with age and plays critical roles in wound healing, tissue remodeling, collagen synthesis, and anti-inflammatory signaling. Extensively studied for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging applications.
CosmeticHumanin
Mitochondrial-Derived Cytoprotective Peptide
Humanin is a 24-amino acid mitochondrial-derived peptide with potent cytoprotective and neuroprotective properties. It protects cells against Alzheimer-related toxicity, oxidative stress, and apoptosis. Discovered in 2001, it is one of the first identified mitochondrial-derived peptides (MDPs).
LongevityGHK
Glycyl-Histidyl-Lysine Tripeptide
GHK is the copper-free form of the well-known GHK-Cu tripeptide. It naturally occurs in human plasma and declines significantly with age. Even without copper, GHK influences gene expression of over 4,000 human genes, many involved in tissue remodeling, DNA repair, and antioxidant defenses.
